| CASE STUDY 5 STATE OF THE ART DUBLIN NURSING HOME SCHEME |
SEI ‘REHEAT’ INSTALLATION GRANT COVERS 30% OF COSTS FOR STATE-OF-THE-ART DUBLIN NURSING HOME SCHEME.
St. Gladys’s in Dublin is a 34-bed Nursing Home where the residents are now enjoying the comfort provided by 700m² of low-carbon, low-cost Henco underfloor heating which is being driven by a cutting-edge 40kW LA 40AS Dimplex-Air-to-water heat pump with a phenomenal COP of 4.5 (A7W35). Thanks to a substantial SEI Reheat grant over 30% of the client’s capital expenditure was covered, delivering a double win of reduced set-up cost and massive energy savings over the long term. Combined with the low temperature underfloor heating system the heat pump is delivering optimum performance and an energy saving of 50% versus the cost of an oil-fired system using radiator technology. |
