NEW DIMPLEX AIR & GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMPS FOR DUBLIN DOG HOME
Dogs Trust Ireland was established in 2005 with the mission of ending the destruction of strays across the country. Work has now begun on a brand new, world class Rehoming Centre in Dublin, opening late 2009, which will be capable of caring for and rehoming up to 1,000 dogs every year. Cental to the economic viability of this ambitious scheme is the need to deliver heating year-round heating to the highest standards with the very lowest possible running costs. For that reason the project engineers chose to specify a cutting-edge Dimplex ground source heatpump technology to drive the underfloor heating for the kennels, and air-to-water for radiators in staff accommodation. One 30kW ground source heat pump (SI30 TE) provides termeprature controlled underfloor heating for the kennels, making sure that the floor temperature does not exceed400C and passive cooling is alos used to keep the temperature pleasant during the Summer. |
